Inner Beauty
This was so fascinating how this artist could make his sketching looking so peaceful. There was hundreds of tourists around but he was like he were the only one in this world, such a calm man. I so envy his peaceful state and hope I could create that kind peace around myself!
I really don't know precise name to this "flower" but some kind of Allium it is. It is really small (like top your of thumb) and blooming just now. In flowerbed it is really minimalist but in the picture it shines with is beauty and shape:)
Truth is inner harmony.

The artist....beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I too wonder how an artist can sit and concentrate amid the hustle and bustle of a place with hundreds of tourists. Nice texture and so peaceful! sorry I do not know the name of the flower, superb shot!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and artistic pictures - art!
ReplyDeleteThe artist portrait is just wonderful. I guess when are fully engaged with what you are passionate about, the world goes away.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious, loving, post. I really like your macro...but the top photo just melts my heart...so, so wonderfully composed.

Love the first shot, Henrietta. He is in his own world isn't he? :)
ReplyDeleteYou have captured such a special moment. That is what a passion for our work can bring us - if we let it.
ReplyDeleteHyvin kaunis ihminen.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a sign you've found something you were truly meant to do, when you can become so involved you're in your own world.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so beautiful Henrietta! Love this flower! Have a wonderful holiday!
ReplyDeleteI like your words and your photos - your artist is so very serene and your flower is very lovely, the green and purple are so interesting together.
ReplyDeleteExcellent images.
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons I would love to be able to sketch is because it does look like such a peaceful thing to do. But alas...cannot even draw a stick figure!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful photograph of him Henrietta, and I love the flower also.
Thank you so much for sharing these today at The Creative Exchange.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful work.... the first portrait is really wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHenrietta...two more wonderful images to start my week! You are such an artist with the camera...and with the post-processing! When I first saw the thumbnail of the artist, I thought it was a painting! Just beautiful...as always.
ReplyDeleteBoth photos are so beautiful! The portrait really shows how absorbed he is - wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWonderful portrait of the man!
ReplyDeleteLove both photos and the serenity of the artist is wonderful. I so agree with Evelyn S above, you are a true artist with your camera!

ReplyDeleteLOVE the artist!
ReplyDeleteThe artist - a lovely composition, skillfully photographed! The closeup shot of a tiny flower does bring out its beauty!
ReplyDeleteTruly it gives so much peace this man! Like Santa, who I visited this last Saturday! :D
ReplyDeleteI love all your pictures Henrietta!
Beautiful photos Henrietta. I think the flower is an allium. V
ReplyDeleteKoncentration och fokus...gå in i sig själv och glömma omvärlden!
ReplyDeleteThis photo caught my eye - i love capturing people like this - when they are so engrossed with what they are doing. Lovely entry this week.
ReplyDeleteMiehen keskittyneisyys näkyy selvästi. Kuva on myös harvinaisen elävän näköinen, todella hieno otos. Melkein näkee käden liikkuvan...
ReplyDeleteA beautiful study of an artist at work.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
He looks like someone I would like to know.
ReplyDeleteYou have definitely captured a bit of the wonder and dreamy nature that is part of an artists' personality. It does amaze me that folks can draw or paint with spectators around - the artist is obviously intently focused on his work. So nice that he chose to wear a picturesquely colored shirt for the day :) This a very beautiful piece!
ReplyDeleteYour flower piece presents an equally stunning capture! Love the sense of light in this shot.
Olen itsekin ihaillut kadulla taiteilevia. Ehkä siinä vaan uppoutuu omaan työhönsä niin paljon, että muut haihtuvat tai ainakin himmenevät silmistä ja korvista.
ReplyDeleteHieno valo tuossa laukka-kuvassa =)
What a lovely portrait of the artist. You captured his spirit so well. One of my favorites of yours for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful post, it warmed my heart!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this peaceful beauty

ReplyDeleteSuch a sensational portrait. I really like it! The artis seems to be an old man from our childhood stories :) Rainy greatings from Romania :)
ReplyDeleteWorks of fine art! Especially love the gentleman artist. Looks like a painting..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - both of them, but as I'm drawn to people I love the first portrait!
